During my entire life I always prayed over the wretched and precarious condition of my Christian community who are persecuted and discriminated at different social stratum in Pakistan. I prayed for hope to instill vigor in my community and new generation so they may realize their duties towards Pakistan as a nation and towards their community. Your news item about Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti perturbed me and made a big question mark on your credibility and genuineness. Being the minority citizen of Pakistan, we suffer enormously, some time at the hands of majority and on other by the vendetta and envious allegations contrived by our own people to let down those who are working for the betterment of our community. One must remember When ever you write do not let your narrations be tainted with personal jealousy and biasness. “Actions speaks louder then words” and “justice is not done until it is seen being done” are the two well known axiom of life that carry weight till today. We believe in what we see and I have seen and read about Shahbaz Bhatti, a young blood with vigor and vitality, commitment and dedication for Christian community, who can truly save the sinking ship of Christians in Pakistan. I have seen him working among the Christian masses in Pakistan and his courageous struggle through All Pakistan Minorities Alliance is a vivid proof for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear . Being an impartial citizen following are few factual points for consideration for every patriotic citizen and well wisher of minorities. Allegations are always false when not proved with proof; hence such statements are only taken as conspiracies. Who is playing in the hands of agencies? You or Shahbaz Bhatti? Your statements at the time when Shahbaz Bhatti is emerging as a leader of Pakistani minorities and when All Pakistan Minorities Alliance is leading the Christian and other religious community, lend suspicions to your own claims. Why you always come up with defaming news, when minorities find a purpose to unite and lead the way to success. Joint Electorate is an issue that is always in favor of all the minorities of the world and prevents minorities from being ostracized and banished from the main stream. The entire world and successful democracies vouch for this system and even the books on political science are full of its advantages. I assume that you have found a new thesis to promote your views that is separate from those scholars who are renowned and well known for their sagacity and prudence on the matter of Joint electorate If Shahbaz Bhatti is a government agent then: Why is he boldly confronting the policies and standing against the government? Why he faces threats and harassment from ruling regimes? Why is he boldly voicing for the rights of Christians and religious minorities of Pakistan and has become voice of voiceless Christians? Why even at the cost of his life he stands with victimized and down trodden? Why is he seen with the opposition not with ruling party? Why he refuse to succumb to the enticing offers of government and position for stopping his struggle for the rights of minorities? Why has he openly and fearlessly opposed Islamic extremists and took courageous stance to denounce their violent activities in Pakistan? Why is he saving victimized people and reach people in need and where there is oppression and victimization? Why Christians and other minorities of Pakistan show their unconditional allegiance to All Pakistan Minorities Alliance. Even I have asked my son, who is a pastor to join Shahbaz Bhatti on all fronts for the rights of Christians. Why Christians and religious minorities are at his beck and call and gather to show their unflinching support to their leader, Shahbaz Bhatti from the platform of All Pakistan Minorities Alliance? Why he held protest demonstrations, processions, and rallies against the blasphemy and other discriminatory laws? Why since 1985 till today he is courageously and boldly criticizing the Islamic Sharia laws and biased policies of different government? Why he has criticized openly in press conference and public forums against the Musharraf regime and his policies? Why he joined protest procession against the unconstitutional suspension of Chief Justice of Pakistan? Why he made efforts to save the Christians of Charsadda and boldly stood against the Taliban and Islamic militants? Why despite of threats and intimidation he never ran away, left the country, settled abroad rather faced the situation? Why he did not elected any his brother and sister in the election rather supported the workers of the organization? Why the Hindus, Sikh and Parsees and other minority members are always seen in his programmes? The only answer to all these questions is that Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti Chairman of All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) is a real leader of Christians and other religious minorities of Pakistan “VOICE OF THE VOICELESS” Your baseless and biased propaganda can not defame Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti and hide facts that are on the ground and we the ordinary Christians know the truth. Your malicious propaganda proves that you are tool in the hands of the Pakistani agencies to defame real leadership.
