It's refreshing to learn that the readers of PCP also have the opportunity to differ from the editorial viewpoint, as Peter of USA has done in his letter [Ref Letters to the Editor]. I would be equally heartbroken if I had the personal knowledge of how certain VIPs had accelerated the growth of the running soars on the body of my once healthy community, and yet were being backed for gainful positions. Perhaps PPP also dumped them for the same reason. As regards the editorial, I see no indication there of backing these candidates either. I feel the real issues are: UNAVAILABILITY OF DUAL VOTING RIGHTS AND LACK OF CHRISTIAN REPRESENTATION IN SINDH ASSEMBLY. The editorial argues that if duel voting rights were to Sindhi Christian community, today it would have its representation in the Sindh Assembly, as it did n the past. And what stopped it from happening? The answer is the electoral system. I feel it is the issues not the specific personalities that are the real subject of the editorial. It is regrettable if Christian community cannot provides a good choice of political leaders. This is yet ANOTHER weakness that needs to be addressed to. We will have our own list to contend with.
