Common sense and superstition: anonymous writer
By : David E Bhatti
Dear Anonymous writer, In your letter, you do acknowledge that some of the sightings are true. I agree with this. You must have a reason to believe this, as have I.. It could be fatal to ignore the reality of the supernatural. In that case, Christ's appearance to Saleem presents no problem. Christ's appearance is quite a separate issue from the doctrinal issues to which you have linked it, such as His divinity, crucifixion etc. Perhaps their discussion here is not necessary, but you come back on it later, if you so desire. According to the Christian history, Christ has appeared upon those who were broken-hearted and were crying for help. In fact, it is reported that He appeared to complete strangers as well. They asked Him, "Who are you?". He replied, " I am Jesus". It started from there. Confining the inquiry to the subcontinent of India, do you know many converts to Christianity had exactly the same experience as young Saleem. Later on they became pillars of our community. I would like to cite only one example just now, namely Sadhu Sundar Singh. Finally, I would like to wish you my very in your dispassionate approach to all knowledge. As regards Saleem, I hope no harm comes to him. David E Bhatti-Scotland
