Anonymous Challenge Accepted!!!!
By : Asif Mall
Dear Mr. Bhatti, I have read the challenge of Mr. Anonymous, and I happily accept it too. I hope that he won't hide behind the comments of his friends either, and would stick to his challenge in an upfront and manly way. If he is not knowledgeable enough to face Christians, then I don't have any problem, for him consulting his knowledgeable Muslim friends either; but I don't want him to create a smoke screen by having so many Muslims writing on his behalf at the same time. I would also request Christian brothers to please let me and him have one-to-one dialogue, and please don't try to express yourself while both of us debate each other. I invite Mr. Anonymous to initiate the debate on these PCP pages, and he can do so by answering the questions I have raised in my previous email about him adopting one criteria for Saleem and another criteria for Mohammad. I had argued my case well, by giving numerous references from the Koran, which is his authority. Then I encouraged him to check the www.answering-Islam.org, so that he can read more details about the subject under discussion. There is no point taking a lot of space on the PCP pages for repeating the details of the relevant material available on another website. Whereas he is asking me to randomly check a few Islamic websites, without either rising, or responding to any of the issues rose by me in the previous email. If he responds to the issues I have risen in my previous email, and then refers me to any Islamic website for further detail; then I would be happy to browse that website for further details. Just saying to me that go and see this or that website gives only the indication that our anonymous friend have no personal knowledge of the subject, and all he is saying is that my friend knows about it, or such and such website knows about it. If he seriously believes that by simply mentioning the web links of various Islamic sites means that he has won, and we are defeated; then I would seriously doubt his intellectual capacity and the level of his personal knowledge. But if he is serious about a dialogue, then he has to show a bit more intellectual credibility by engaging us into logical discussion, instead of just mentioning a few websites. In the end he writes that there is only one God, Allah Almighty. I don't know why he thought it necessary to mention this, but now I would appreciate his response to a few issues regarding Allah as well. What was the Arab concept about Allah before Islam? Sura 53 in verses 19-21 is asking Arabs to change their concept of Allah, by not believing in the three daughters of Allah (Lat, Uzza & Manat) anymore. Why? The name of Mohammad's father was Abdullah, which literally means a slave of Allah. Since Mohammad's father was never a Muslim, and died even before Mohammad's birth; so why he was a slave of Arab god Allah having three daughters? I encourage him to read the book "23 years of the prophetic career of Mohammad", written by 'Ali Dashti', who was a prominent Iranian scholar of Islam. He can order this book from Amazon.com or some other on-line booksellers. I would like to know what is his opinion about this book, and would also like him to let me know that which of the Islamic websites mentioned by him have a response to this book. I hope that he doesn't chicken out of this dialogue, and pray that comes to know the real and living faith if Jesus Christ for eternal salvation. Amen. Asif Mall
