Dear Editor Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ. I just happened to come across your website and read with interest a few articles. I have been trying to help the Christians as much as I could with various meetings, writing to many Christians and requesting their assistance etc. It gave me great pleasure to come across your website. I would just like to make some short comments rather than lengthy article. First of all, our biggest problem is that we tend to put our faith in the western world, thinking that because they PROFESS to be Christians that they will come to our help. Then we think our church leaders who live on foreign aid will look after us, even though some may do so. The people that we do not put our trust in are ourselves and above all trust in God. I have heard many Christians say, sir what can we do, we are poor, we are uneducated, we are few in numbers. The reason we are poor is that we do not do anything. We are too busy fighting each other. We become followers of foreign missions and fight each other, rather than followers of Christ and work with each other. There is a song in Urdu "tun se tu azad hum ho gaye hain, man se na gayi ghulami" We may be freed politically, but our hearts and minds are still controlled by missions. For most of us anyway. First of all, lets all unite under one banner. The banner of Christ and Pakistani Christians. With sincerity and prayer let us uplift each other. If the western world cared about Christians in Asian and African countries then half millions Christians killed in Sudan would be alive today, 20,000 Christians killed in Indonesia and others in other countries would still be alive. The western world will come to your aid if it is in their national interest. Anyway it is not their responsibility to look after us, their responsibility is towards their nationals and they do that very well. I don't blame them for not helping us, because we don't seem to help ourselves. Bishops fighting court cases against each other, and other Church organizations fighting each other in courts and out of courts is an example of our condition. Leave alone western world even God will not help us and no wonder we are beaten so badly. So my request, pray and plea to all Christians in Pakistan and those living abroad is, lets stop blaming others for our miseries and take a good look at ourselves. Lets thrash out our weakness and differences. Lets start blaming ourselves for our predicament and then we might start to see our way through. Let us without any ambitions for leadership or other motives come together and seek the Lords help in charting our course to a better life. God Bless you all With prayer and regards. Charles Williams
