Dear Bishop I read your article with interest in reply to what I wrote to the editor. Please be assured that I did not take any offence nor was I annoyed at your reply. I was glad that you had provided some thought for consideration. Yes I live abroad, I cannot speak for others, but I have never forgotton my christian brothers and sisters in Pakistan. It is my desire to do whatever I can to help even one of them. When I wrote the letter, it was not out of self-righteouness but out of concern and feel for the people. It is this desire to serve my fellow christians in Pakistan, that with the help of friends from UK, US and Australia, Canada, that I tried to organize a group to help our christian children to gain education and help others as much as I can. WE tried to support a local magazine published in Lahore, and one from America, but unfortunately things did not work out. We raised funds for a school in Punjab, but very disappointed with the results. Last year Our group sponsored 12 children in Karachi by way of paying their fees for the whole year and also for the books and are doing the same this year. I am not writing to make ourselves look good but to share with you that if not all christians abraod, atleast there are some who are doing their best to assist. Like ourselves there are a large number of people who are helping out. My purpose of the letter was to create an awareness amongst our own people. I did not think anyone will read my letter, leave alone reply to it. It was not my intention to point finger at any one. If anyone felt that I was pointing fingers, then I apologize for that. deep down in my heart, my concern for the christians in Pakistan is very deep. I still continue to write letters to people around the world for unity. I believe before we can think of anything else, we must unite and work together. I hope we will keep in touch and work towards a more consolidated community. God bless you and others who are working for the betterment of our people. This letter is for the Bishop only Please.
