New York; July 24, 2010. (PCP) Pakistani Christian Association in America PCA leaders have strongly condemned brutal killing of Pastor Rashid Emmanuel and Sajjid Emmanuel in Faisalabad

Courts where they were brought for hearing in alleged blasphemy on July 19, 2010. Mr. William Shahzad, Chairman PCA, Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of PCA, Mr. Babar Khokhar, Secretary General PCA and Mr. James Gill, Director PCA in a joint statement issued here today have expressed grief and condolences to family of Martyred Christian Brothers and pressed upon government of Pakistan to arrest killers and bring them to justice. The PCA leaders were angered on Punjab government to not providing security to Christians when more than three thousand Muslims came out of homes on call of Imamas from mosques surrounding Warispura Christian colony and opened fire on innocent Christians at night of July 19, 2010, when Emmanuel Brothers were gunned down at noon, same day. PCA maintained that instead of protecting Christians from Muslim mob, police fired upon Christians and injured 5 Christians. It is ironic that Christians have fled from Warispura, which is most populated colony of Christians in Pakistan with more than 10 thousand families, from fear of attacks of Muslims said PCA leaders. Where Christians can flee? Where they can go after atrocities in Punjab? There is no safe place for them in Pakistan because every where in Pakistan, Christians are being targeted, Gang rape of Christian women and their enforced conversion are at rise during this government. The PCA leaders demanded President of Pakistan to repeal blasphemy law which is root cause of violence against Christians in Pakistan. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Association in North America PCA said “Christian do not trust on enquiry committee of President of Pakistan on killing of Emmanuel Brothers because Muslim bureaucrats will again safe Muslim culprits like they saved Muslims killers who burnt alive 7 Christians in Gojra in 2009” William Shahzad, Chairman of PCA demanded publication of Judicial Commission report findings in Gojra incident which is being withheld by Punjab government. PCA leaders also decided to join Pakistan Christian Congress PCC Conference on Killing of Christians in Pakistan on August 2, 2010, in Washington DC.
