The TTP tools have killed 5 Christian youth of Essa Nagri in months of August-September of 2012 and wounded more than dozen Christians in lethal weapon firings in broad day light and FIR First Information Reports of murders and bullet injuries of Christians were lodged in PIB Police Station but police never arrested nominated culprits. In this week, PIB Police Station police entered in Essa Nagri with heavy contingent of police armed with teargas shells to demolished boundary walls constructed by Christians around Essa Nagri with millions of rupees contribution for their protection and opened way for intruders who collect extortion money from Christian shopkeepers and on refusal open fire to kill them. The major portion of Boundary Wall around Essa Nagri covered Street Number 7 of Essa Nagri where Philadelphia Pentecostal Church is situated from decades. On Thursday, Talaban broke door of Church in Street Number 7 of Essa Nagri, fired dozens of shots to harass Christian residents and then looted Donation Box kept in Church in which were more than 50 Thousand Pakistani rupees. Later, attackers took out Holy Bibles and Hymn books and danced over them with shoes and tore pages. To spread fear, the Islamists fired in Church and broke windows and other Church property. Last week, the Islamists had attacked St. Francis Church in Old Haji Camp area where this Catholic Church is serving from quarter of century while attack on Essa Nagri Church is second in ten day’s period in city of Karachi. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said “Christian are feeling so unsafe in Pakistan that now they are demanding UN intervention and voicing for asylum in countries where they may enjoy religious freedom and equal rights” “PCC had already filed a petition in UN to grant Refugee Status for Pakistani Christians who are facing genocide in Pakistan” said Nazir Bhatti Nazir Bhatti, Chief of PCC urged Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary General of United Nations to act upon PCC petition to award Refugee Status to Pakistani Christians now when attacks on Churches, target killing of Christian youth, enforced conversion of Christian women to Islam and incidents of arrests of Christian under blasphemy law is rising and government of Pakistan have failed to secure life and property of 20 million Pakistani Christians. “Pakistan Christian Congress urges India to voice against genocide of Christians in Pakistan as Indian government have obligation under Liaquat-Neho Pact of 1950 for protection of minorities in Pakistan” said Nazir Bhatti Liaquat-Nehro Pact was duly signed between India and Pakistan in 1950 to guarantee for protection of religious minorities in respective states. Nazir Bhatti urged President Asif Zardari, Premier Raja Parvez Ashraf, Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishrat Ulabad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to immediately adopt security measures for Christians living in Karachi and to arrest culprits involved in killing of Christian Youth of Essa Nagri and attacks on Churches unless Christians will be forced for right action.
