The award included half a kilo gold medal and a cheque of 18,000. Euros. Of course, it is time to be joyous for everyone working and supporting CLAAS' work. Joseph started his work about 40 years ago however I joined him about 25 years ago struggling for Christians rights and since then Joseph and I are working together for Christians' rights on different platforms. CLAAS was established in 1992 in Pakistan and in 1998 in the UK. CLAAS provides free legal aid, financial support and shelter to the victims of religious intolerance, however in UK we raise awareness, advocacy and lobbying. Now CLAAS has a life saving track record. Meanwhile the CLAAS UK Coordinator have withdrawn his statement against a UK bishop who uttered comments about Christmas which were highly condemned by all around the world with these comments " we are also sorry for our previous press release and apologies to all of those whom were offended, but it was all due to the misinterpreting and the way that the Urdu newspaper printed the news".
