France. April 10. Grand Prior General in Scotland, Chevalier James P. McGrath, Knight Grand Cross of the Temple of Jerusalem, was awarded the Silver Medal of Merit with Honours at a special ceremony held at the Magistral Grand Priory of the Holy Land

The award was presented by the Marquess of Aulnois, His Sovereign Excellency Chevalier Gary Beaver, on the 22nd of March in a ceremony attended by the Deputy Grandmaster of the Ordo Supremus Militaris Templi Hierosolymitani, His Sovereign Excellent Chevalier Luis Roseira, and Chancellor of the OSMTH, HSE Kenneth Seddington. According to Chev. Marquess Beaver, the Silver Medal of Merit with Honours is awarded as a "mark of recognition for those who have performed exceptional service supporting humanity, not an egotistical badge but a token of esteem and sign of gratitude for Templar deeds." Chev. McGrath was also named as a Magistral Grand Protector of the Grand Priory of the Holy Lands. In a reciprocal ceremony in Scotland, HSE Chevalier Roseira and HSE Chevalier Beaver were appointed Magistral Priors of Honor in the Scottish Knights Templar Grand Priory. Chevalier William McGrath was elected to the position of Grand Prior of Scotland. Chev. James P. McGrath now holds the title of Grand Prior General of the Confederation of Scottish Knights Templar. Chevalier Andy Grant was promoted to Marshall and Constable of the Scottish Grand Priory, with the rank of Knight Grand Officer.
