Mr. Bhatti, added that Feudal lords and religious parties have capture the Nazism and naib Nazism seats in all the district in local body elections by military government, under proportional democracy, new system of city government, neglecting peoples representation act of 1976 have proved that local body elections are conspiracy against the 93% poor people of Pakistan to prolong the undemocratic rule by the triangle of Armed forces, bureaucracy and feudal lords.
He said that elections of feudal lords as Administrative of rural districts shall result in misuse of powers against opponents and poor communities with the help of bureaucracy and armed forces of Pakistan in the light of recent amendment in Cr PC act by an ordinance.
Mr. Bhatti paid homage to the MQM and all other democratic forces, refusing to take part in local body elections under military government. He condemned Pakistan people's party, National Awami party and others for their participation in these elections and termed it to strength this regime, leaving behind the struggle of restoration of democracy in the country. He said that, General Mushraf have damaged and violated the spirit of the constitution of Islamic republic of Pakistan of 1973 and supreme court of Pakistan judgment to restore democracy with in three years without any basic amendment to the constitution. He said that Armed forces seems to be an organized political party in Pakistan, enjoying 70% of budget of Pakistan, of the poor people of Pakistan and working against the democracy to rule out the power of poor masses through democratic process. He affirmed that if all the political parties have not taken active part in these elections, the generals have been forced to put on hold to plan against democratic institution of country in future.
Mr. Bhatti said that recent announcement to hold national general elections in 2002, under any new system shall be not true road map to democracy.
