Okara. July 5. The catholic priest George Ibrahim was killed by terrorists attack in the parish house in early morning today. The assistant Parvez Masih was also seriously injured when he rushed to save Rev. Father George Ibrahim who was under gunfir

Renal Khurd is small town in Okara district where Catholic school is in operation from decades and this small town is famous for the Mitchell's Farms. This is second incident of Catholic priest killing in Pakistan, when a priest was found dead in Karachi in his house some years back. The killing of Fr. George Ibrahim seems to be series of attacks by terrorist Muslim groups on schools, churches and hospitals of Christians in Pakistan. The Bahawalpur church attack in 2001, killing 18 worshipers and Shanti Nagar village massacre in 1998 by fundamental Muslim mob is on the same national highway where Renala Khurd is situated. The Sulaman Masih was killed in Okara District when he was fighting for the rights of Christian farmers. The blasphemy victim Ayub Masih was also from Okara district. Its learned that Fr. Ibrahim was on target of fundamental groups and was frequently threatened about which he informed to his superiors. It's the same division in which Bishop John Joseph was found dead before session courts and mystery of his killing still waits justice.
