In his Letter to Prime Minster of Pakistan Mir Zafar Ullaha Khan Jamali and other high administration officials Rev Dr. Rashid Gill has demanded the Compensation to the family of pastor's to be paid immediately. In this communication Rev Gill has urged upon Security of All worship places in Pakistan. He further demanded "Restoration of equal rights of all minorities especially to Christians according to promise made by Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan, by enunciating all discriminatory laws" Commenting on Law and Order situation Rev Gill added, "it has also been observed that there is severe lack of peace and order in the country. The police department continues to cover its shortcomings instead of arresting elements that continue to kill innocent people without mercy. Recently, a Christian pastor, Mr. Mukhtar Masih, at Khanewal, has been brutally killed by these so-called unknown assailants. But these elements are notorious, mischievous and known to everybody except police. These said elements are the same people who tried to murder President Musharaf. They are not against our President on a personal level but rather dislike his initiative to fight against terrorism. This is a deliberate effort to show their hatred against the Christian community in general. The murder of a pastor and attack on the life of President are two sides of the same coin".
