Pendle Asian Christian Forum UK on bringing communities together issue. PCP Report.

On the 4th September 2004, a small gathering was arranged At United Reform Church, by the Pendle Asian Christian Forum to introduce and congratulate the newly elected local councilors. Guest’s included Cllr Sonia Robinson and Cllr Mrs. Ann Mari

P.A.C.F. expressed their wholehearted support and wished them all very successful future. The rest of the guests comprised of Pendle Asian Christian Church elders, leaders of the Muslim community of Pendle, Asian Christian Leaders of Preston and councilors from Manchester. The evening got under way with a brief introductory speech by Mr. Kenneth Massey, Who also introduced the host of the evening Mr. Azher chd. (Jaag International Magazine). Rev. Rehmat Emmanuel recited from the Holy Bible and offered an opening prayer. Some speakers stressed the need of the Asian Christian community to come forward and play a more active part in both social and political activities, among these speakers were Mr. Yaqub Masih (Asian Christian Fellowship UK (Huddersfield) and Chd. Abdullah Zaid. Mr. David Dean (P.A.C.F.) pledged to serve the communities and confirmed candidacy for a councilor in the forthcoming elections. Mr. Sageer Ahmed delivered a vote of thanks. The closing prayer was offered by Rev. Dr Mushtaq Masih (Grace Community Church, Manchester) before food was served. The Pendle Asian Christian Forum hopes to organize future events with the same results and aims, to build bridges and bring communities together. We also would like to thank all those involved for their help and support.
