Lahore: Jan. 31. Today Bishop John Samuel of Faisalabad Diocese miserably failed to withdraw the case against the illegal sales of properties from the High Court of Lahore posing to be the only Plaintiff in the case. He stated before the Court that t

However Dr. Basit the learned Counsel for Bishop Ijaz Inayat Masih of Karachi and others from Lahore told the Honorable Court that the said Suit is a representative suit in which others besides Bishop John Samuel are also party therefore, it could not be withdrawn by the Bishop of Faisalabad. The Honorable Lahore High Court upholding the law point, argued by the learned Counsel for Bishop Ijaz Inayat Masih of Karachi and others that the Trust properties cannot be sold, fixed 8th February 2005 for arguments on the same. The attempt to withdraw this case is the result of the bargain between the Bishops to allow the sale of Church properties by each other and share in the money which should come under the table. On the other hand the dishonest bishops are trying to satisfy the poor and ignorant priests and common laity along with the Partners that all is well and a joint Synod has been held to white wash the previous dealings. It is strange that no bishop of the Church of Pakistan challenged Bishop Alexander John Malik about these illegal sales and registration of suitable constitutions of his chooses without the approval of the competent authorities. It was expected that the knowledgeable Bishops and Pastors of the Church of Pakistan will resolve the issue before allowing him to chair the illegal Synod thus indicating that a solid deal has been made between the Bishops to allow them to do their will ignoring the Word of God and the prevailing constitutions.
