Without Christ you cannot Sing “Peace”. Christmas message by Bishop T. Nasir

Without any apology, I am not a Poet who makes claims of snatching stars from heavens, but a practical person. I see and accept realities. The reality for mankind is our Lord Jesus Christ,

who can stop all human abuses, miseries from wars imposed on human race by Devil and their spiritual sickness. Who is the only Way to Peace, has been "side lined" and people are trying to find Peace with those who even do not know what actual Peace is. The thirst for "Peace" by "Peace mongers" is "Devil Oriented" for there personal and collective gains. Their aim is to distract Christian from real understanding the very meanings of "Peace". Devil is using our own "Intellect" for so-called "Peace" and directing them to make friendship with those, who burn the churches in their countries of origin and "Our Intellect" has abandoned their churches and faith for their sake. They strengthen friendship with the enemies of our Lord Jesus Christ. They have "compromised" their faith for "Peace" that is not possible without Lord Jesus Christ. The "Communists" of yesterday are "Peace Mongers" of today. After the "Death of Communism" the leftovers have become enemy of Christ. They seek "Peace" from gods and not from Lord. For "Worldly Peace" they can do any thing even against Christianity. Through the "songs" of "Peace Mongers", Christianity is facing threat from all corners of the world even the "Former Christian World". (The Washington Times Reports, "In all branches of the military, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Christian chaplains to use the name of Jesus when praying." A report published The Washington Times very recently seems taking Christianity back to "Persecution" that it suffered in first three centuries. "To pray or not to pray in Jesus` name is the question plaguing an increasing number of U.S. military chaplains, one of whom began a multi day hunger strike outside the White House yesterday". According to an American Navel Chaplain "I am a Navy chaplain being fired because I pray in Jesus` name," said Navy Lt. Gordon Klingenschmitt, who will be holding 6 p.m. prayer vigils daily in Lafayette Park. The hunger strike is intended to persuade President Bush to issue an executive order allowing military chaplains to pray according to their individual faith traditions. The American Center for Law and Justice has gathered 173,000 signatures on a petition seeking an executive order). In another report, "Carol Singing" in "Old Homes" was banned in many States of the United States. Though it has been lifted now after a court order. Yet it is surprising that in a country that said once, "In God we trust" there is no place for Christ. In many countries, displaying of "Cross" is banned and our "Peace Mongers" are silent. It is a pity. In preaching "Peace" without Christ, the "Peace Mongers", after shipwreck their faith are preventing "Every Nation" from coming to salvation in Christ. The "Plain Truth" is, "If we accept Lord Jesus Christ we will not only have "Peace" in world but will stand worthy of "Eternal Peace" in Him". We must decide today and make a choice, World or Jesus Christ. We can't have them both. No one can serve two masters, this is what Jesus Christ has said. I have tried to express my feelings after reading a "Poem" which is out of place for Christians and Christmas. Without Christ a dream so sweet. Is Peace reality or a dream A true desire or just a scream Is Christmas, Peace in present time In Christmas Trees and drinking wine In Santa Claus or greeting cards In decorated church that stands in dark Can Peace be claimed by chirping birds Or speaking singing fancy words Would silent guns ensure peace And armies gone will bring in Peace My poet sits on his desk and writes In sleeping days and peaceful nights In fancy halls and fancy sites And all the way to human rights Yet he forgets the past we had The tale in Eden and end so sad A state we lost for lust of eyes For want of wisdom, wrong and right Gad gave us Peace and dwelled with us We wished to reach like Him above For useless thing in thankless way Peace ensured was given away And longed since then in every way In sinful world for Peace you long Can not be found in multicultural lengthy song In global village, a word so wrong What Peace we talk from men so strong You want the Peace on Christmas day? Pick up your Cross and fight all the way Don't sit in comfort of distant land Come out in scorching heat and sand Compromise not Faith for worldly rest For seventy eighty years at the best Tolerating evil and closing eyes Will cause some day your sad demise Observe obey the Lord of Lords Stop praising all the worldly gods Of Peace and love and lofty aims For personal glory name and fame For fragile Peace that fades away You struggle hard for night and day Yet real Peace is out of sight The Peace of Christ that shines so bright Why can't you see in broad daylight The Peace eternal must be sought And war with devil must be fought Through faith in Him that does not fade Don't walk on paths that has no shade Don't hate the war for interfaith mirage Don't dump His Word in closet or garage Don't shut the "Him" out and close the door Let Him come in the heart of your On Christmas Day tell world with force The Prince of Peace has come on white horse To wage the war on devil and death So we can take a joyful breath Christ alone can give you joy and Peace Be sure of that and go and preach The Prince of Peace was born today To lead us on Eternal way. Merry Christmas Bishop Timotheus Nasir
