Mr. Bhatti said that PPP and PML have been committed to Dual Vote for minorities in their respective regimes and this is the only solution to end the controversy of Joint Electorate and Separate Electorate for minorities in Pakistan. Discussing the Dual Voting, he said, that in Pakistan Kashmir Muslims are enjoying this right when they vote for Legislative Assembly of Kashmir and also vote for the candidates of National Assembly of Pakistan in respective constituencies in Pakistan under the Islamic Republic Of Pakistan constitution of 1973. The demand of Joint electorate can not provide the chance to minorities to reach in parliament and reserved seats allocation was deemed fit to seek representation for minorities by all the Muslim majority political parties in formation of constitution in 1973. He expressed that allegations of apartheid due to SES are not true and bishops Conference of Pakistan and some NGO, s are misleading the international community and government of Pakistan. He said that Separate Election system was due demand of minorities and felt comfort to approach their leaders and elect them by their own votes. Mr. Bhatti said that Christians of Pakistan are with the democratic forces pressing for the restoration of democracy in Pakistan and ready to join the movement shoulder-to-shoulder with majority community to launch any campaign against the amendment in constitution announced by this government. He said that ARD and PPP have provided chance to minorities to follow the mainstream in politics of pakistan by demanding the restoration of minority seats in parliament to curb propaganda of some christian organizations of apartheid in pakistan and we assure that general Christians are with them for any sacrifice.
