Bloomberg's Appreciation of Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina's economic strategy. By Sumaiya Janna

US financial news agency Bloomberg has praised Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's economic strategy at a time when some groups are campaigning for famine in the country.

When the whole world is going through an economic crisis, Bangladesh is the exception that has managed to keep the economic wheel fairly stable even in the crisis of Corona or war. And this was possible only because of the astute leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The organization did not stop at praising and also predicted that Sheikh Hasina will win the 2024 elections as well. Bloomberg writes that Sheikh Hasina will come back to power for economic stability during the global recession.

I don't know how our internal politicians will explain it. Some vested political parties or their protege intellectuals or civilists verbally approach the door of America with the request to save the country. Dr. Yunus tried no less to stop Sheikh Hasina. A few days ago, Mr. Yunus came to the discussion again. The strength of that is America. Now American analysts themselves are giving reports praising Sheikh Hasina. It remains to be seen how they will analyze the whole matter.

A country like Sri Lanka sank into economic recession. Now it is trying to stand again with a new loan. Pakistan is in a bad state. They remain flat in all indicators. The state of hatred of the lives of common people. But do we know the image of Bangladesh?

Which country does not have rising commodity prices? In countries like Europe and America, people are struggling to buy daily necessities. Bangladeshi families are turning to backyard farming to meet their growing demand for vegetables. But the people of our country are restless and busy abusing the government. The idea is that the government itself may be doing business. Even though the reduction in commodity prices due to corruption and syndicate politics failed to catch up, at the end of the day, the government is pulling the reins.

In a world like Corona, not a single person died without eating. The curse of unemployment did not last long. Sheikh Hasina normalized everything at great risk. His policy was, if there is a disease, there is treatment but if there is no food, there is no treatment. If people at least work and earn then the pressure on the state will be reduced.

Even during the global recession, our remittance graph is decreasing and increasing again. The shape of reserves never fell below the desired rate. There is no electricity problem now. We have progressed a lot in agriculture. The Prime Minister's call to farmers not to leave uncultivated land is also playing a good role in this crisis.

As Bangladeshi citizens, we should be proud of this achievement. But we won't do that. And since I wrote the article in praise, I'm sure the citizens of that disaffected party will call me a government stooge as soon as they read it. If I am a broker, is Bloomberg also a broker? Why do they see Sheikh Hasina in power again? Why do they say that the only reason for Bangladesh's economic stability is Sheikh Hasina's strong leadership?

My mother says that you have to be 'sabri' in life. Those who do not have sabri in their lives never see beautiful days. Sabri is our native word meaning to give thanks. Sometimes I think our citizens have not learned to be thankful. I can't be patient with the fact that I am very good in the midst of many bad things. A man who never sees less than four/five curry on his dinner table, that man also says that there is a famine in the country. But none of them have anything off.

I visited Kolkata a few days ago. I heard that the purchasing power of their people has also decreased. People don't buy like they used to. None of their stores sell one over a certain number of products. Don't even sell medicine so as not to cause inconvenience to others. But if this situation had happened in my country, there would have been an uproar by now. It was said, I have the ability to buy, what is there to stop the government? This panic buying is not less responsible for increasing the prices of goods. After hearing that the price of soybean oil will rise, everyone started stocking up. Started stocking salt. But if the rules were made that a family could buy only a certain number of products, then there would be no chance for such a commotion.

In fact, there is something strange about some people in our country. When they hear Sheikh Hasina, I don't know why they start to suffer from discomfort in their hearts. Some people were allergic to Bangabandhu. Now it is going on with Sheikh Hasina. But he is not doing anything for himself. Giving to this country.

Everything that the country has progressed and modernized today is the role of this Sheikh Hasina. If you admit it, some people will lose their caste. Alas, America itself has come in the role of astrologer and is saying that Sheikh Hasina will be the next prime minister of Bangladesh, giving hope to the famine theorists.
