Reflection on Passover – Pesach Seder. By MOHAMMED KHAKU
Mass Exodus from their homes, made refugees and ethnically Cleansed. Why are Palestinians so different from Israelites of Prophet Moses?
JVP has compiled these Passover offerings so we all may continue the sacred work of mobilizing to end genocide and apartheid — and of building & practice of Judaism beyond.

Happy Passover and I understand many are filled with grief, broken hearts, and rage over the genocide in the holy land.
On the eve of the Passover, the night story begins with ancestral Israelites’ journey from Mitzrayim (Egypt) and ending with the Israelites crossing the Red Sea. How closely related it is to the Quran.
The Israelites would go on to wander for forty years in the desert before killing and displacing people in pursuit of the Promised Land.
Hope this Passover all can taste and smell freedom - the journey of collective liberation – Palestinian Muslims, Jews, and Christians from Zionism.
The extreme Zionist regime continues its genocide of Palestinians in Gaza in full force. We cannot feast while there is famine in holy land, but we can be politically active in creating an Anti-Zionist Haggadah?
Israel is a 76-year-old state. Nakba anniversary is May 15th. While the Israeli government purports to speak in the name of all Jews, and worse, uses Jewish traditions as weapons against Palestinians.
This Passover, we cannot hold seder as usual. The meal cannot be festive while the people of Gaza are facing famine and ethnic cleansing.
Over two million people do not have clean water to drink, to cook, bath, and medicine, as we raise water to our lips tonight, we say:
This year’s Jewish holiday of liberation urges everyone to step up our commitment to the liberation of the Palestinian people.
The Israeli government and USA are behaving like Pharoah and those of us who pay taxes to the American government, which has financed the Israeli military’s genocide of Gaza, are complicit.
The phrase quite common on Passover and is repeated throughout the Haggadah is “We cannot cross until we carry each other.” Surely, we can do with a permanent ceasefire, Palestinian freedom, and collective liberation.
From Gaza to Galilee as we bless the water, wash our hands, may all water from the River to the Sea be liberated.
It is a tradition on Passer to eat Maror — a bitter herbs, to memorialize the bitterness Israelites felt while they were slaves in Egypt so, amidst the genocide it is time to mourn, not celebrate as white phosphorus, and bombs are drop on Gaza as toxicity renders all celebration bitter.
This Passover contemplates and reflects on eating bitter herbs/Maror and dipping twice to manifest our responsibility to Palestinians who are starving and thirsty then let us forgo all the rituals of Pesach until Palestine is liberated.
On this Passover as we use pillows and recline on Pesach during mass displacement let us reflect on millions of Palestinians homeless prostrating outside their destroyed homes hungry and thirsty.
Celebrate the ancestral escape from slavery will be a shame and hypocritical amidst the genocide, ethnic cleansing, and slavery of the Palestinian in the ghettos and open prison of Gaza.
The Lehigh Valley Uncommitted campaign gained momentum to defeat Susan Wild and other elected officials. Primary on April 23rd and register to vote April 8th.
