Gen Asim Munir plays the flute as Balochistan comes to standstill on Mengal strike call. By Ahmar Mustikhan

Pakistan's most corrupt and brutal generals, led by slum dog army chief, Gen Asim Munir, who are taught to believe they are better than the civilians have turned France-size Balochistan into Gaza,
Pakistan soldier firing directly on peaceful protesters in Wadh Monday. The picture and video were shared on X by Baloch Nelson Mandela, Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal on Monday.
“The state has turned Balochistan into a war zone itself by continuing to attack peaceful protesters,” said Mohsin Dawar, a leader of the National Democratic Movement, while expressing solidarity with Balochistan National Party (B.N.P.) which is under attack of the world’s ninth largest, nuclear armed army.
“We are peaceful, but don't think of it as our weakness. We remember every bullet fired at us. Every injustice is etched in our hearts. We are not silent, nor is our journey over. Our voice is our weapon, and we will raise it like a storm— fearless and unrelenting,” former chief minister Sardar Akhtar Mengal wrote on twitter in Urdu as he shared the picture of a Pakistan soldier firing directly on protesters in his hometown of Wadh Monday.
inflexible.
A complete strike was observed all over Balochistan on the call of former chief minister Sardar Akhtar Mengal, who is president of the Balochistan National Party (B.N.P.)
“The state brutality descended on the BNP protest in Wadh. At least five protesters were injured as a result of direct firing and shelling on the protesters. Despite state repression, B.N.P. workers stood the ground and protests are continuing in Wadh,” the party said in a ptess release.
The party said protest for the release of Baloch Yakjehti Committee leaders and other political activists entered the 11th day.
“Balochistan’s leader Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal and thousands of long march participants are beseiged in the wilderness at Lakpass in Mastung. A suicide bomb attack on them and the lives of thousands of people, including B.N.P. leaders, are still in danger,” the B.N.P. said.
The party said shutdown strike and closure of highways continued across Balochistan for the second consecutive day today to protest against the BNP's long march from entering Quetta. The shutdown strike was observed in including Quetta, Khuzdar, Wadh, Dalbandin, Noshki, Nokandi, Turbat, Qila Saifullah, Sorab, Buleda, Nal, Kalat, Hub, Zehri, Basima, Jiwani, Gwadar. Apart from this, the houses of BNP leaders were visited in most districts including Quetta.
The B.N.P. gave the strike call after the former chief minister was barred from entering Quetta. An Islamic fundamentalist, Gen Asim Munir ordered re-enacting the fifth century Battle of the Trench when Prophet Muhammad defended Medina from rebellious Arab and Jewish tribes. Trenches were dug all around Lakpass to stop Mengal’s caravan may not be able to reach Balochistan capital Quetta, 18 miles to the north. “I dont know whether I should laugh or cry over it,” said Mengal. He also posted a video clip of Lakpass where he was stopped March 28 and he converted the sit-in ground at Lakpass into a humungus Baloch Hyde Park.
“Is it LOC ? Yes LOC of Balochistan at Lakpass,” Mengal tweets. The LOC is the line that separates Pakistan and India in Kashmir.
While demanding justice, Mengal has always worked within the framework of Pakistan’s constitution unlike his British elder brother Javed Mengal who believes in all forms of struggle and is believed to be the head of the militant Lashkar-i-Balochistan. the elder brother has often criticised Mengal for his docility.
However, Gen Asim Munir accused Mengal of having sympathies with the Baloch Liberation Army (B.L.A.) which the I.S.I. lobbied two major white powers, the U.K. and U.S., to conscript.
The Deep State in both the U.K. and U.S. erroneously believe in working with the Pakistan military, which considers China not the U.S. and U.K. as their best friends. In fact the countries that Gen Asim Munir considers closest to Pakistan are China, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates Qatar and Turkey Recently declassified documents reveal the U.S. gave the go-ahead to gen ayub Khan to declare martial law that ended in east Pakistan, now Bangladesh, parting ways with Pakistan.
In a call, Pakistan’s well-known International Relations expert, Professor Moonis Ahmar, who has been associated with Karachi University for 42 years now recalled. “Gen Tikka Khan we want the land not the Bengalis.” Tikka Khan was called Butcher of Bengal and right now Pakistan army chief, the slum dog of Dheri Hassanabad,Gen Asim Munir, is being called the Butcher of Balochistan.
Gen Asim Munir has the dubious distinction of being the first army chief in Pakistan history who has rote memorized the Muslim Bible or Quran. he invokes verses from the Holy Book on how to handle the country’s security and crushing those who do not agree with his worldview, notably the Baloch and Pashtuns,
Gen Asim Munir has declared Mengal as a facilitator and abettor of “terrorists” — Baloch freedom fighters who are resolved to undo the forced occupation of their homeland by Pakistan military March 27, 1948.
A summary of the situation in Wadh, hometown of B.N.P. president and former chief minister of Balochistan on X reads: On April 7, 2025, in Wadh, Khuzdar, Balochistan, Pakistani security forces reportedly used force against peaceful protesters. The incident involved baton charges, tear gas, and live firing, resulting in several injuries and detentions. The protesters were demonstrating against the unlawful detention of leaders and demanding their release. The situation has escalated tensions in the region, with reports of multiple injuries and a call for international intervention. Pakistan military stopped using X on may 27, 2023 exactly seven months after Elon Musk brought the former twitter,

Livid over the loss of soldiers, Gen Asim Munir addressed an in-camera session of the parliament’s security committee March 18 and expounded what is being called the Asim Munir doctrine of “hard state.” Since then the situation has gone from bad to worse in Balochistan with crackdown on Baloch Yakjehti Committe and the arrest of its leaders Dr Mahrang Baloch, Beebow Baloch, wheel-chaired Beebarg Zehri and others.
While Pakistan rulers have always treated Baloch as second-class citizens, the miitary generals have displayed extreme brutality towards them to crush their aspirations for freedom.
In 77 years since forced annexation of Balochistan March 27, 1948 by Pakistan, total number of days Baloch had any say in the provincial government are: 288 days Sardar Attaullah Mengal (May 1, 1972 to Feb 13, 1973) was chief minister, 548 days when Nawab Akbar Bugti (Feb 4, 1989 to Aug 6, 1990) was the chief minister and 508 days Sardar Akhtar Mengal (Feb 22, 1997 to July 15, 1998) was chief minister. For 927 days Dr Malik Baloch (June 9, 2013 to Dec 23, 2015) claims he upholds Baloch rights but he has been quite sheepish before the I.S.I. and has not visited Mengal out of fear of the I.S.I.
