Prez Trump ought to instruct Secretary Rubio to question India about its double standard between the USA v/s Russia- China. By Hem Raj Jain
This refers to Secretary Rubio’s forthcoming visit to India which has triggered happy talks and good-wishes among commentators in Indian media (as https://indianexpress.com/article/india/marco-rubio-to-visit-india-from-may-23-trade-defence-energy-on-agenda-10698421/ ) and as usual pleasantries about good Indo-US relations shall be exchanged during this coming visit.
But this visit is not so much in the interest of the USA despite what Trump-administration is misleadingly projecting it to be. Because the vitally premier interests of the USA lies in its predominant global military power from which other two powers namely technological and economic follow. And the ill-conceived and ill-prepared Iran war (which the USA Started on February 28, 2026) has comprehensively destroyed the military clout of the USA which is a matter of great concern to every patriotic citizen of the USA, Hence it is time the USA understands who is a friend and who is not the friend of the USA.
But It is surprising that the administration of Prez Trump so far has not asked one simple question / clarification from India that—
-— “[India during last about 75 years generally (under the influence of its so-called trusted & old friend communist USSR and now Russia ) has been criticizing the USA whenever the USA was perceived (by India) going against the interest or principles of rule based global order. But now why has India (not even during 2026 September BRICS summit at Delhi) not questioned Russia and its ally China as to whether by helping Iran militarily they want to support the project of Iran of converting international waters of Strait of Hormuz into territorial waters (which has created economic problem to all the countries of the world) where Iran is talking about charging a tax from the ships passing through this Strait (which Iran has been able to do or even conceive mainly due to the military help of Russia and its ally China during this Iran war]”? ——-
Hence Prez Trump ought to instruct Sec. Rubio to ask India (clearly & publicly through media during his coming visit to India) to clarify / question India’s double standards between Western free world led by the USA v/s the authoritarian world of Russia and its ally China.
Therefore patriotic citizens of the USA hope that Prez Trump would instruct Sec. Rubio to make it clear to India (during his coming visit) that no country can be considered a friend of the USA unless it assists the leader of free world the USA in running the rule based human rights friendly global order
