Chandigarh: August 13, 2018. (PCP) Independence Day was celebrated in Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.
Saluting the nation and its freedom fighters, on the eve of the 72nd Independence Day, the History Society of GGSCW-26 marked the historical occasion by holding an Interclass Paper Reading Competition on the topic 'Historical Milestones in India's Struggle for Freedom'. Students from all disciplines participated in the event and shared their views. Ms. Jasneet Malhi, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science and Ms. Ramandeep Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science were the judges of the event.
The first prize was awarded to Shoma of B.Com. I, the second prize to Shreya Thakur of B.Com. I and the third prize to Manveer Kaur of B.A. III.
