New Delhi: August 29, 2018. (PCP) Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party has dashed an urgent letter to Shri Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister to convene an urgent political conference with the representatives of all state recognized political parties to seek their opinion as what needs to be done today to restore peace in the State and stop any further bloodshed and chaos in the state. NPP Supremo has also urged the Prime Minister to invite all factions of the Hurriyat Conference and the ex-legislators who are allianed with Hurriyat Conference in J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh in his urgent appeal to the Prime Minister said that the people of J&K desire peace with justice. The present situation needs to be improved by re-gearing administration in the state. The rumours which are being floated by the media about the revival of the dissolved government have also added to the unrest. Prof.Bhim Singh said that voice of J&K today is for immediate dissolution of the Assembly and for Assembly elections afresh. He also hoped that Shri Satya Pal Malik, the Governor of J&K may also support this motion that Prime Minister must hold urgent meeting to ensure that people of J&K are taken into confidence. The letter is reproduced below: "I would like to repeat my request that an urgent meeting may be convened to discuss the boiling situation in 'Kashmir', J&K in particular. The situation which is developing there needs an urgent intervention of the Union of India and the Prime Minister in particular. I would request the Prime Minister to convene an urgent meeting of the representatives of all recognized political parties in J&K. Representatives of Hurriyat Conference (from its all known factions) need to be invited so that they may also get an opportunity to interact. I also would like to request the Prime Minister to kindly invite all ex-legislators (ex-MLAs & MLCs) to the meeting. I strongly feel that the Union Govt. has to intervene so that peace shall be restored in the Valley and other areas of J&K. The 'outdated' ruling groups in J&K have lost confidence and trust of the people of J&K and the Prime Minister's interaction with senior leadership of the state shall help the Union Govt. to take appropriate action."
