Rally for implementation of Pakistan Psychologistic Council Act 2018

HYDERABAD: August 25, 2019. (By Abbas Kassar) A peaceful rally was taken out here on Saturday by Pakistan Psychologist academia and civil society jointly under aegis of voice of psychologists, their movement at national level with primary object to raise voice for enactment and implementation of Pakistani Psychological Council Act 2018 passed from national assembly but before  signing it to law assembly completed its term and the bill was sent to standing committee for review.

The march was led by Dr. Beenish Sarfaraz president Voice of Psychologists Hyderabad, Sindh. Talking with media she told that there was sharp rise in psychological illness. We are still lacking PPC which can register qualified psychologists and provide them practice licenses.

She said all psychologists’ teachers and students demand through media that national assembly pass the bill and also government to implement it in full.

She said after 18th amendment every province can establish psychological councils as such, she said, they urge both federal and Sindh government to enact psychological act as with this law many psychological issues will be soslved and such law could increase image of country worldwide.
