HYDERABAD: September 1, 2017. (By Abbas Kassar) Rally taken out on international day of forced disappearances and seminar held by human rights commission of Pakistan task force Sindh has declared forcibly kidnapping political workers as crime against humanity and has made appeal to higher judiciary to take notice of missing persons and asked UNO to endorse international convention on human rights. The speakers noted that there has been increase in enforced disappearances in Sindh in recent months. They said it was sorrowful trend as the families of 200 plus missing persons were living under agony and suffering. If this trend was not stopped then there might be one person missing from each home. They said this country was a federal state and no one is allowed to abduct anyone on his sweet wish. They said they have been condemning the human rights violations in Sindh and we also condemn enforced disappearances in Sindh. They demanded to immediately release. Those who addressed at rally and seminar included professor Mushtaq Mirani, professor Badar Soomro, Sohail Sangi, Dr. Buxul Thalho, Manzoor Thaheem, Dr. Ashothama coordinator HRCP Sindh Task Force,women action forum’s Haseen Musrat Shah, Social leader Mustafa Baloch, Abdul Razaq Umrani, Nazir Channa. They said even those persons have been kidnapped and disappeared who had sympathy with other, who write the plight of downtrodden and that none among them happens belonging to moneyed class. They said more than 200 families were weeping and waiting for safe release of their beloved ones. They said from whom shall people of Sindh get certificate of loyalty. They said this issue is of Sindh. They said Pakistan was signatory to international human rights charter. They said violation of human rights was not allowed in even constitution of Pakistan yet people were being kidnapped and disappeared from Sindh.
