Chandigarh: September 21, 2017. (PCP) NSS unit in collaboration with Environment society of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh organized “Rally For Rivers” seminar in the college today. Volunteers from Isha Foundation enlightened the students about the importance of rivers. The students were motivated to grow more trees in order to avoid soil erosion and floods. They emphasized on participation for rally for rivers by everyone who consumes water. A poster making and slogan writing competition was also held to highlight the cause of depleting rivers.
College Principal, Dr. Charanjeet Kaur Sohi applauded the efforts of college students and motivated them to contribute towards the noble cause.
