Hyderabad: March 15, 2018. Recently held election of Senate Chairman was no more than a drama which elected a little-known politician from Balochistan as chairman, which has made democracy susceptible and toothless. This has exposed PPP and PTI. This was stated by Ashraf Noonari leader of Sindh National Tehrik commenting on recently held senate chairman election. He said immediate reaction from public to the mockery of politics came out in shape of show throwing to politicians. He said their fate will not be different than Altaf Hussain. He said main political parties of country have lost popularity due to corruption, dishonesty and incompetence due to which their ideology and political acumen were getting defeated culminating powerful establishment. The result of this fiasco was that a man getting 500 votes in 2013 election has become chief minister of Balochistan and one senate seat holder has become chairman of Senate. Noonari said the alliance between Zardari and Imran Khan was out of wisdom as after purchase of senators with billions of rupees PPP could not elected its own senator as chairman but by accepting Sadiq Sanjrani as chairman of Senate they have proved more loyal than king. He was of view that billions of amounts being spent of public meetings seems to have been saved with initiative of show throwing advent.
