Chandigarh: March 21, 2018. (PCP) 'Vasudha', The Environment Society of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector - 26 Chandigarh, celebrated the 'World Forestry Day' on March 21, 2018. Competitions were arranged on theme of "Save Forests, Save Earth" on this occasion. Students participated in Paper Reading, Slogan Writing, Rangoli Making and Face Painting contests.
Dr. Jatinder Kaur, Principal of the College expressed that "The forest is an organism of unlimited kindness and benevolence that makes no demands but gives generously to all beings, so we all must pledge, on this day, to save our green cover".
Mrs. Lucky Malhotra, Incharge of the Environment Committee along with the other members thanked the Principal with a bamboo plant.
